Designed by the renowned architect Jean Nouvel, the HEKLA Tower stands 220 meters tall (721 ft) over 49 stories, and it features 76,000 square meters (818,000 sq ft) of office space and services designed according to the highest standards.
The design of the first office tower by Jean Nouvel in Paris La Défense is influenced by the Rose de Cherbourg project, Paris La Défense's wide-scale urban regeneration program, and it is a sinuous composition of triangular shapes inspired by the texture of the surrounding urban fabric. Jean Nouvel has designed an aesthetic envelope with many polychrome brise-soleils that, together with the high-performing glass on the building’s façade, regulate the heat. A building that enhances and redefines the skyline of the district through its striking, slender appearance, drawing on a prismatic composition with alternating glass and matte.

The HEKLA Tower has ESG at the core of its design, in fact it features an innovative system of independent mini air handling units that treat the in-office air and decentralize ventilation; optimized lighting and water consumption; and 2,500 square meters of green space. The skyscraper is aiming for triple certification: HQE Exceptional, BREEAM Excellent and LEED Platinum, as well as the Effinergie+ label for energy performance and WELL Gold certification for building influence on employee experience and health.
Design & engineering, manufacturing, and installation of single skin façade and external louvers for the tower plus stick system façade fixed on a steel structure for the podium for a total surface of 43,900 sqm / 472,500 sq ft.
