Permasteelisa Group, the global leader in the design, construction and installation of technically advanced building envelopes, has been appointed by EllisDon to deliver the bespoke curtain wall of the East Tower of the new Forma development, located in the heart of Toronto, Frank Gehry’s hometown.
Developed by Great Gulf, Dream Unlimited, and Westdale Properties, and designed by world renowned Toronto-born architect Frank Gehry, Forma is a mixed-use development that will comprise residential accommodation, commercial offices and retail and public spaces.
The first phase of the development is constituted by the East Tower, a 73-storey residential tower that will reach the height of 263 m (862 ft) and offer a total 864 residential units.

The contract will see the global specialist design, manufacture and install the façade to the new City of London Law Courts and City of London Police Headquarters. This comprehensive project, funded and delivered by the City of London Corporation, aims to strengthen the City's justice system and promote London's standing as a premier location for business and innovation. It will equip the City of London Police with a state-of-the-art HQ and operational base to police the square mile and protect the UK from the threat of economic and cybercrime.
The buildings, which are eight and 10 storeys respectively have been designed by Eric Parry Architects. The façade of the City of London Law Court will feature granite and limestone and will represent a contemporary reworking of the historic civic buildings of the Square Mile.
The City of London Police Headquarters will feature a bespoke, weather-resistant, steel and glass façade which will naturally 'mature' over time. This will give the building a distinctive colour which will blend in seamlessly with the brickwork of the adjacent building.
