Permasteelisa Group completes work at One Leadenhall
Permasteelisa Group has completed its work for Brookfield Properties on its One Leadenhall development in the City of London.
The 176m, 35-storey tower, designed by award-winning Make Architects, features a four-storey masonry ‘street block’, reflecting the character of neighbouring buildings, topped by three aluminium and glass ‘blades’. Panoramic views from every floor will ensure tenants feel connected to the surrounding cityscape.
One Leadenhall will provide 40,000 sqm of office accommodation, with a free public terrace and retail space on the ground floor. The building is targeting BREEAM Outstanding and WELL Gold.
The company designed, engineered and manufactured the façade for client Brookfield Properties. A total of 27,080 sqm of façade elements brought the development to life, including 25,600 sqm of unitised panels with structural silicone glazing made of double-insulated glass, and 1,500 sqm of stick system façade.
The lower levels of the building include external features made of glass fibre reinforced concrete (GFRC).
Jalal Fitoury, CEO for Permasteelisa Group in Europe, comments: “We have safely and successfully handed over our work at One Leadenhall, which adds to our already very impressive portfolio of buildings that have helped shape the London skyline.
“We have worked with Multiplex, Make and Brookfield Properties on numerous schemes and look forward to continuing these valued working relationships well into the future.”
Permasteelisa Group operates in Europe, North America, Asia and the Middle East. In London alone, the company has contributed to the development of over 250 buildings since 1968.
