Chairman of Permasteelisa S.p.A. since 2006. He graduated in Economics from Ca' Foscari University in Venice and he spent two years of post-graduate at Pembroke College, Oxford. He began his career in 1974 at the Research Department of the Bank of Italy; in 1979, he moved to the Fiat Group where he held various positions in the finance departments; since 1986 he became Senior VP Finance of Fiat Group. In 1989 he was appointed Deputy General Manager of Banca Nazionale del Lavoro and the following year he became CEO of the bank until June 2003. From 2004 to 2007 he served as Chairman of the Fondazione La Biennale di Venezia. Currently, in addition to the chairmanship of Permasteelisa S.p.A., he is the Chairman of Eurovita S.p.A. and Fondazione Ugo e Olga Levi in Venice, Member of the BoD of Elica S.p.A., Genextra S.p.A., and Credito Fondiario S.p.A., Senior Advisor of Nomura and member of the Board of Assonime.
Permasteelisa Group CEO since 2019 and Permasteelisa Group Regional CEO Europe since 2016. He graduated in Mechanical Engineering, Production Technology (Dipl.-Ing.) at the Technical University in Munich. He began his career joining Josef Gartner GmbH in 1993, he has been appointed General Manager in 2002, and since 2012 he has served in different positions within the Permasteelisa Group.
