Varso Tower

Warsaw, Poland

Varso Tower, a flagship high-rise in central Warsaw with façade by Scheldebouw, is the tallest building in the European Union.

Rising to 310m, the Foster + Partners’ design houses shops, restaurants and cafés on the ground floor, a large parking garage in three underground floors, plus around 140,000 sqm of high-quality, flexible office space on the upper floors. An observation deck at 230m will offer panoramic views of the city.

The project

The concept

The Varso complex features three buildings – the tower, plus two mid-rise buildings, all of which are connected with each other and Warsaw Central Station. Featuring state-of-the-art technologies to reduce water and energy consumption, it is the first Polish project of this scale to gain BREEAM Outstanding certification, as well as being the first development in Central Europe to achieve WELL Gold.

What did we do?

We supplied 49,400 sqm of unitised façade panels for the main tower’s roof, which rises to a height of 230m with an 80m spire on top. The façade is a standard panelised system with triple glazing.
