Upper Riverside, Greenwich Peninsula

At Upper Riverside, a new residential community on the banks of the River Thames in Greenwich, London, we created façades for five residential towers constructed in parallel.

The high-end buildings, to the south-east of the O2 Arena, were designed by architects Skidmore, Owings & Merill (SOM). In addition to apartments and studios, the development includes gyms, a private cinema, private roof and dining terraces, roof gardens, a steam room, and one of London’s highest pools.

The project

The concept

The slender towers feature a stepped and angled design and are cut like prisms. The buildings’ orientation to the river and extensive use of glass in the façades contributes to maximising daylight and offering stunning views.

What did we do?

We designed, engineered, manufactured and installed 88,860 sqm of unitised curtain wall with double glass, shadowboxes, glass fibre reinforced concrete (GFRC) fins, and integrated aluminium balconies.
