Tiffany’s flagship store in Chengdu, China – opened in 2024 – is a grand, three-storey building designed to complement local architecture and be a comprehensive ‘House of Tiffany’.

The design integrates the brand’s signature blue with local inspirations, such as a magnolia flower chandelier and Chengdu-inspired wallpaper, combining global luxury and local culture. As well as showcasing Tiffany’s luxury jewellery, timepieces and accessories, the store serves as a cultural hub, showcasing original artworks by renowned contemporary artists.

The project

The concept

The store’s exterior, designed by Hugh Dutton, is inspired by the brilliance and luminosity of diamonds. The goal was to embody Tiffany’s legacy of craftsmanship and innovation, transforming the essence of diamonds into a tangible, enchanting retail experience.

What did we do?

We designed, engineered, supplied and installed all elements of the striking kinetic light sculpture façade – a total of 570 sqm.
