Nova N2 is a mid-rise office block in central London that marked a significant milestone for Permasteelisa Group – the world’s first Environmental Project Declaration (EPD) for a bespoke façade.

The building was designed to be highly sustainable and has achieved BREEAM Outstanding rating and WELL Gold certification. Sustainable features include a green roof and walls, column planting, on-site waste sorting and recycling, a central energy centre, and low water use fixtures and fittings. We were delighted to achieve the world’s first project-specific EPD for the building’s façade, based on an analysis of the environmental impact of the façade system across its entire lifecycle.

The project

The concept

The 17-storey N2 office building forms part of the Nova mixed-use development in Victoria, London. The building was designed with a strong focus on complementing the surrounding architecture and supporting employee health and wellbeing.

What did we do?

We designed, engineered, manufactured and installed 12,100 sqm of bespoke curtain wall unitised façade. Prioritising sustainability at every stage of façade development enabled the achievement of a project-specific EPD.
