Moncler Marina Bay Sands

Singapore

Moncler Marina Bay Sands is the luxury fashion house’s largest store in the Asia-Pacific market, with an eye-catching exterior that is a pure distillation of the brand.

The building’s jet-black stone façade complements a stunning interior, which offers a contrast between warm, dark wood and icy white stone to complement a colourful line-up of clothes.

The Project

The concept

The façade of Moncler Marina Bay Sands mimics the distinctive curves and folds of the classic down puffer, embodying the brand’s identity. Visible at all hours, the façade is composed of stone pieces that give the impression of expanding from within, creating the appearance of a ‘soft stone’ that flows continuously across three levels.

What did we do?

We designed, engineered, supplied and installed 132 machined, 3D-shaped black marble stone slabs with associated bracketry and steel framing. Each stone module weighs approximately 400kg and was shaped using 3D milling machines and hand polishing for final finishing. We also integrated LED lighting and logo signage, and provided entry doors; jumbo-sized, extra-clear, low-iron laminated glass showcase windows; and custom-inlaid brass logos on the entry floor.
