The iconic Lloyd’s building, home of the insurance institution Lloyd’s of London, received Grade 1 listing after its completion in 1986. At the time, Historic England said it was ‘universally recognised as one of the key buildings of the modern epoch’.
Permasteelisa Group is extremely proud that the building’s façade was created by our Gartner brand, and it is fitting that today, nearly 40 years on from its opening, we provide consultancy advice on technical issues surrounding the façade. We have worked with specialist façade contractors to carry out a reglaze strategy for the atrium roof, with a particular focus on matching the aged glazing. We also maintain the building’s doors, sourcing and supplying original components as needed.
