Booking.com Campus

The Booking.com campus in Amsterdam – in a waterfront area near the city’s central station – is the company’s global headquarters, housing over 6,000 employees.

Spanning an area of around 65,000 sqm, the building includes conference rooms, breakout spaces, and areas for relaxation and collaboration. Creating a modern workplace to encourage interaction, creativity and wellbeing was a priority.

The project

The concept

UNStudio designed the building as a socially, physical and mentally healthy working environment that encourages employees to move, create and connect. The façade solutions required to achieve this were complex and unique, enabling as much natural light as possible.

What did we do?

We designed, engineered, manufactured and installed around 15,000 sqm of façade structures, including element façades, post-and-beam façades, structural glass façades, and the structure for three atrium roofs. Aluminium was used with structural glazing for maximum transparency, keeping the dimensions of the aluminium profiles as small as possible and engineering to tolerances of a few millimetres.
