The exclusive apartments in the 88m high 565 Broome SoHo (aka SoHo Tower) in New York offer residents wide-ranging views across the Hudson River.

The 30-storey building was constructed at the crossroads of Broome Street and Varick Street in Manhattan. The development consists of two towers linked by a ‘roof’, with a very large, transparent glass façade and a portal that consists of a glass façade with steel rods.

The project

The concept

The high, narrow units of the glass façade create a straight, fine structure. The lines are softened by large, rounded glazed corners that highlight the building’s transparency and openness. The lower building consists of a cable net glass façade, including an atrium façade, and the upper part of the building is clad with a unitised aluminium façade.

What did we do?

We designed, engineered, manufactured and installed approximately 15,700 sqm of façade, including 10,900 sqm of aluminium façade, over 900 sqm of point-fixed cable net façade, and around 300 sqm of atrium façade and atrium roof.
