20 Fenchurch Street – aka The Walkie Talkie – made an instant impact on the London skyline when it opened in 2014.
The façade for the main building and the Sky Garden at the top of the 160m tower was the work of two of our brands – Permasteelisa and Gartner. Today, we take pride in caring for their creation.
As part of an ongoing maintenance contract with clients Savills and 20 Fenchurch Street Building Management, we have carried out extensive reglazing work. This has included removing and replacing high-level glazing, working at height with a vertical team, specialised lifting and the supply of glass and components for the Sky Garden’s roof. We have also carried out reglazing of vertical wall elements at a high level, using lifting equipment designed for the task by Permasteelisa.
