Permasteelisa Group’s Gartner brand appointed to deliver façade contracts worldwide

Permasteelisa Group’s Gartner brand has secured a number of contracts during the last quarter in Switzerland, the United States and in the Middle East.

In Switzerland, the company will design, produce and install the façade for a new building for a developer and producer of world-class medicines. This will be the sixth building that Gartner has delivered on the campus, along with others for this client elsewhere in Switzerland.

The 12,200 sqm façade will feature high-performing Closed Cavity Façade (CCF) units with polished stainless steel corners, secondary steel double storey applications, and large canopies. The use of low-carbon materials will achieve a saving of up to 43% on embodied carbon compared to previous buildings on campus.

Across the pond Gartner will fulfil two contracts. The first in New York to deliver a new entrance for the world’s largest tennis stadium, which hosts grand slam tennis tournaments. The entrance is a 25,532 square foot curved façade featuring a steel mesh structure with either aluminium or fabric cladding.

Meanwhile 2,500 miles away in Los Angeles, California, the company will design, produce and install a stunning façade on Rodeo Drive, Beverly Hills for one of the world’s finest luxury retail brands. When complete the building will offer a store with diverse product lines, a café, restaurant, the brand’s first permanent exhibition space, and an open-air terrace. Prefabricated metal mega panels will be combined with extensive vertical and horizontal glazing to create the dynamic, curved façade. Designed to tilt at different angles, the façade systems will bring movement to the unique exterior, which will shimmer and shift with changing light.

In the Middle East the company’s focus is on the delivery of a mega project in Abu Dhabi which will bring the vision of a world famous architect to life and become an inclusive and dynamic space where local culture will thrive.

Group Director, Gartner, Jürgen Wax, comments: We are delighted to have been appointed to deliver these prestigious contracts. Our excellent reputation for delivering complex façades has led to us winning this work.

“We have experienced some challenging times in recent months, brought on by the after effects of Covid 19 and ongoing economic pressures in certain markets. But we are bouncing back, with further contract awards on the horizon.

“The position we are in today, as part of our international Group, is testament to our colleagues who really are the most talented professionals in our field.”
