Permasteelisa Group to transform 60 Gracechurch Street
Permasteelisa Group has been appointed by Obayashi Properties UK at 60 Gracechurch Street.
Dutch brand – Scheldebouw – will take the lead as the specialist façade contractor for design, engineering and manufacture for the £500m transformation of the site, with the Group’s UK colleagues supporting on the installation.
Obayashi has engaged Shard developer Sellar as Development Manager to redevelop the site into a 36-storey scheme offering more than 37,000 sqm of Grade A office space. It will be complete in early 2029.
Designed by architect 3XN and to be built by Bovis, 60 Gracechurch Street aims to minimise carbon emissions in construction and operation. The building will be 100 per cent powered by electricity.

Located with the City’s Eastern cluster, 60 Gracechurch Street will also offer new, sheltered public realm on the ground floor, a café and public roof garden at level 35.
