Mästerhuset

Stockholm, Sweden

Mästerhuset, central Stockholm’s first LEED Platinum office building, is a great example of our work bringing to life modern workspaces and sustainable architecture across the Nordic region.

Completed in 2015, the 11-storey Grade A building offers over 30,000 sqm of space, including offices, a high-end restaurant, retail and a green roof. Today, Mästerhuset is home to forward-thinking businesses, including a leading bank and an international communications consultancy, all of which sign a green contract as part of their tenancy.

The project

The concept

Sustainability underpinned all design decisions in relation to materials and resources, energy and atmosphere, and indoor environmental quality. The energy-customised façade includes floor-to-ceiling windows to maximise natural light, complemented by a central atrium. Landscaped roof terraces manage surface water and enhance biodiversity. The building’s Scandinavian aesthetic incorporates high-quality materials, including durable glass, wood, stone and metal.

What did we do?

Our team provided a total of 12,500 sqm of bespoke unitised façade for the building, including natural stone features. The final façade provides 90% more natural light penetration than similar buildings, making a major contribution to the wellbeing and comfort of occupants.
