Flughafen Frankfurt Main is Germany’s busiest international airport by passenger numbers and the busiest in Europe for cargo traffic.

Today, the airport covers an area of 2,300 hectares and has four runways and two terminals with capacity for 65 million passengers per year. When our team worked on the airport’s eastern pavilions in 1998, it was soon after Terminal 2 had opened.

The project

What did we do?

We designed, engineered, manufactured and installed 1,800 sqm of aluminium façade in panel sizes 2.05m x 6.3m. This included window and spandrel areas, partly sloping to reduce reflection. We also supplied 200 sqm of stick system façade and firebreak façade.
