Chicony Electronics Headquarters

The Chicony Electronics Headquarters building in New Taipei City, Taiwan marks a transition from an industrial area to a modern business district.

The building is 181m high, with 39 floors above ground and 4 basement levels. Completed in 2015, Chicony Electronics Headquarters has achieved Diamond level Green Building Certification of Taiwan.

The project

The concept

The tower rises to 181m with 39 storeys and three overhanging roof floors, with a total floor area of 63,300 sqm. The building was designed with large-scale glass areas to offer good visibility for users, and projecting glass panels at building corners.

What did we do?

We designed, engineered, manufactured and installed 29,930 sqm of unitised curtain wall; 1,237 sqm of glass wall; and 3,995 sqm of cladding panels. We also supplied stainless-steel grille soffit, glass fins, and the buiding’s canopy and entrance. The spandrel areas were executed with embossed, partly sloped stainless-steel panels.
