Aéroport Toulouse Blagnac in South West France is an international airport with flights to 84 destinations, mostly in Europe and Northern Africa.

The airport has one passenger terminal divided into four halls, covering 100,000 sqm of floor space. Our team worked on a range of façade elements at the airport back in 2010, including unitised curtain wall, stick system façade, passenger bridges and a glazed gallery.

The project

The concept

The elements added to the terminal buildings in this phase of development included a 14m high glazed gallery, free-spanned pedestrian bridges, passenger transition areas and shading.

What did we do?

In total, we designed, engineered, manufactured and installed around 6,500 sqm of façade elements for the terminal building. This included stick system cladding, stairway façades with structural glazing, and pedestrian bridges made of steel, glass and coated corrugated sheets. For passenger transition areas, we provided a stick system façade with screen-printed spandrel panels and louvres. For the runway side of the building, we created a two-storey unitised curtain wall fitted with shading using heat-treated, triple-laminated wood elements.
