What makes Slimline CCF different?
- Reduced depth – Slimline Closed Cavity Façade is almost half the depth of traditional CCF (see right); similar to a single-skin system with double or triple glass unit
- A venetian blind system that is 25mm deep, compared to the usual 60mm to 80mm
- Blinds available in a range of colours
- A high-performance coating on the outer pane
- Low-carbon glass and aluminium
Four benefits, one façade
In addition to the benefits of traditional CCF, Slimline Closed Cavity Façade offers:
- Increased net internal area (NIA) as a result of the reduced façade depth
- Reduced solar gain without blinds, thanks to the high-performance coating on the outer pane
- Increased unobstructed views, with blinds down for fewer hours during the working day
- Reduced embodied carbon – Slimline CCF has a similar carbon baseline to a single-skin façade
Building energy performance
Slimline CCF with standard glazing reduces embodied carbon by 10% compared to traditional CCF.
With the addition of low-carbon technology – embedded high-performance coating, low-carbon glass and aluminium – embodied carbon is reduced by 35–40%, making the Slimline Closed Cavity Façade comparable to, or even higher performing than, a standard single-skin façade.
The aim is to offer developers a façade that enables them to maximise their NIA and preserve excellent views, while hitting Paris Proof 2030 sustainability goals.
Designing with Slimline CCF
All our Slimline CCF panels feature an insulated aluminium framed double-skin with closed cavity technology, internal double glazing, and full-height external single glazing.
As with all of our unitised façades, we create bespoke Slimline CCF solutions to meet architectural, client and design requirements. We provide exclusive design assist and validate our designs through rigorous mock-ups and testing.
