The Concept

Deutsche Bank’s Head office in Frankfurt, with its two towers has been transformed into a visible symbol for an energy efficient and high-quality working environment. In the context of Europe’s largest refurbishment one of the world’s most environment-friendly high-rise buildings has been created. Both towers of the building (40,000 sqm) and the foot (podium) of the building (11,000 sqm) are clad with a new breathing façade whilst almost retaining the original exterior appearance.

HEIGHT

155 m / 509 ft

36 stories tall

The façades consist of individual units where every second window unit is a parallel vent window which can be opened. An innovative development in fittings allows the use of the windows also at high wind velocities and at heights of 150 m. A cold façade has been built around the individual units.
