Architectural Thoughts at Permasteelisa
On the occasion of the 15th International Architecture Exhibition, Permasteelisa Group handed the microphone to some of the most interesting exponents of architecture worldwide with a series of lectures at its Venetian headquarters, Palazzo Giustinian Lolin, between 6 October and 24 November 2016.
With Architectural Thoughts at Permasteelisa we wanted to offer the architects a preferred spot where express their ideas about architecture as well as about their projects.
Permasteelisa Group mission is to turn the ideas of the world’s greatest architects into reality, bringing our engineering capabilities, advanced technologies and eco-sustainable solutions to bear. Besides, the architectural envelope is where innovation is happening, where experimentation takes place with materials whose properties and characteristics were specially developed, where new production processes and fluid forms are applied. The motor of this inventiveness is the search for increasingly transparent solutions with high performance levels in energy use, thermal insulation, acoustic comfort and mechanical resistance.
With Architectural Thoughts at Permasteelisa we also wanted to give continuity to the collaboration undertaken with the Domus magazine for the editorial special Behind the Curtain Wall, a supplement to Domus issue 1003, June 2016. The supplement offers an overview of some of the most fascinating works of architecture of contemporary times involving Permasteelisa, and analyses the design solutions that have revolutionised the ways of conceiving, producing and installing buildings' envelopes, curtain walls and interior systems.
